A note from the founder
Hi, I'm Faye. By day, I'm an executive who runs meetings, makes big calls, and generally has my act together. By 5pm, I'm a woman hiding in a dark bathroom eating crackers because someone needs a snack and it might as well be me.
I have three kids, all five and under, which means my life is basically a live-action game of Whac-A-Mole — except the moles are tiny, adorable, and extremely loud. I've negotiated peace treaties over who gets the blue cup. I've taken conference calls with a toddler attached to my leg howling like a banshee. I once presented in a client meeting with oatmeal stuck in my hair and didn't find out until hours later. Nobody told me. I choose to believe they just liked the look.
I started The Managing Mama because somewhere between the boardroom and the bathtime meltdowns, I realized nobody was talking about what it actually feels like to do both — not the curated, everything-is-fine version, but the real one. The one where you're proud of the deal you just closed and also crying a little in the pantry because you're just... tired.
A quick, honest note: "Faye" isn't my real name, and that's not my real photo. I'm just not ready to put myself out there completely — the internet can be a lot, and I've got a career and three small kids depending on me. But I promise you, I'm a real person, sitting somewhere very similar to you, running on the same combination of coffee and willpower.
I'll also be upfront that I use AI to help me put my courses and content together — I don't have the time or energy to handcraft every single word from scratch, and I'd rather be honest about that than pretend otherwise. But everything is reviewed, edited, and rewritten by me before it ever reaches you. Nothing goes out that I haven't actually thought through and believe in. I've been told my whole life that I give good advice, and this is me finally putting that to use for more than just my group chat.
This isn't a place for perfect. It's a place for real — the systems that keep our family from completely falling apart, the mindset shifts that get me through hard days, and the messy, funny, occasionally chaotic truth of trying to build a career and a family at the same time.
If you're in it with me — coffee in one hand, a Paw Patrol Band-Aid on your finger, wondering how you're going to do this again tomorrow — welcome. You're exactly who this is for.
Glad you're here.
